Terms of Service
Last updated: September 9, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VideoFocus app and website. By using VideoFocus, you agree to these Terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.
Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, accessing, or using VideoFocus, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If you are using VideoFocus on behalf of a child, you do so as their parent or legal guardian and you accept these Terms on their behalf.
Using VideoFocus
VideoFocus grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own family's non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the service — for example, by attempting to reverse engineer it, disrupt it, access it through unauthorized means, or use it to violate any law or the rights of others.
Accounts and parental responsibility
VideoFocus is intended to be set up and managed by a parent or guardian. You are responsible for keeping your account and parental passcode secure, for the child profiles and settings you create, and for supervising your children's use of the app. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
YouTube content and YouTube API Services
VideoFocus uses YouTube API Services to let you find channels and videos and to show their titles, thumbnails, lengths, and view counts. By using VideoFocus you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Your use of YouTube content is additionally subject to the Google Privacy Policy; how VideoFocus itself handles data is described in our Privacy Policy.
Videos in VideoFocus play only in YouTube's official embedded player. VideoFocus does not download videos, does not store them for offline viewing, does not separate audio from video, does not remove or obscure anything the player shows, and does not attempt to work around YouTube's or Google's technical restrictions. You agree not to use VideoFocus to attempt any of those things.
VideoFocus never asks you to sign in to a Google or YouTube account, and never accesses, changes, or stores anything in one.
Because playback uses YouTube's own player, a device that blocks youtube.com — through Apple's Screen Time website restrictions, for example — cannot play videos in VideoFocus until that address is allowed. See why VideoFocus needs YouTube access.
All videos, channels, thumbnails, titles, and related content shown in VideoFocus are the property of their respective owners and of YouTube/Google. VideoFocus does not own this content, does not claim any rights to it, and is not responsible for it. Content availability is controlled by YouTube and its creators and may change or be removed at any time.
Availability and changes
We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features of VideoFocus at any time. Because VideoFocus depends on YouTube API Services and other third-party services, parts of the app may be unavailable or behave differently if those services change, impose limits, or become unavailable.
Disclaimer of warranties
VideoFocus is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific content will be available or appropriate for every child.
VideoFocus limits what a child can reach to the channels, videos, and playlists a parent has added — it is not a content filter and does not review, rate, or screen the videos themselves. What appears within an approved channel is controlled by YouTube and by that channel's creator, and can change at any time without notice to us. Parents remain responsible for choosing what they approve and for supervising their children's viewing.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VideoFocus and its creators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or relating to your use of the app. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Termination
You may stop using VideoFocus and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the app in a way that could harm the service or others.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated within the app. Continuing to use VideoFocus after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
